


Learner Information
Programme Duration and Delivery
This programme is delivered part-time in the evening, during the day or both. It is timetabled to suit the needs and lifestyles of our learners. In addition to class-time hours of directed learning with support from tutors and staff, learners are expected to invest additional in self-directed learning. Learner Support
County Roscommon Disability Support Group CLG is here to support learners, help and assist with queries or difficulties. we also offer the option of additional computer training for anyone with little to no computer skills. Tutors provide one-to-one training and mentoring.
Fees
A deposit of €100 is required to confirm a place on the programme. We collect fees before the commencement of each module and all fees must be discharged in full within 3 weeks of commencement of a module. Fees can also be paid by instalments: agreed with us before commencement.
You can book and pay for our courses using the following methods:

- Instalments
- We also accept payment by cash at registration
Prior Knowledge
To access the programmes learners should have a reasonable standard of education. A Level 4 in Healthcare is desirable but not a requirement. Learners have enrolled on this course with no prior experience and have achieved their majors and progressed onto work and additional training
Access Transfer and Progression
Achievement of an award on the NFQ enables our learners to transfer or progress to related programmes leading to awards at the same or higher levels of the NFQ. We provide learners with advice and information about transfer and progression opportunities following the successful completion of a programme with us.
Protection of Enrolled Learners (Part 6 of the Qualifications and Quality Assurance (Education and Training) Act 2012)
https://www.irishstatutebook.ie/eli/2012/act/28/section/65/enacted/en/html - As a provider of programmes more than 3 months in duration, we are subject to Part 6 of the Qualifications and Quality Assurance (Education and Training) Act 2012.
This means that, if for any reason, we are unable to continue to provide the programme you are enrolled on, we have arrangements in place with alternative providers for enrolled learners to transfer to a similar programme provided by the alternative provider. Any information shared does not infringe the Data Protection Act 1988 and 2003
Enrolled learners are protected by Protection of Enrolled Learners (PEL) arrangements from the time that fees are paid in part or in whole for enrolment on a programme of education and training of 3 months duration or longer. The company have refund arrangements in place which meet our legal requirements as set out in the 2012 Act:

We engage with highly experienced tutors in their field to deliver our programmes and in the provision of a supportive environment that allows them to carry out their work effectively in the learning process.

Blended Learning
Blended learning is our training method that combines traditional in-class, instructor-led teaching with eLearning content.
Learner Management System
We use GiraffePad platform to facilitate our training. (GiraffePad Introduction link) GiraffePad enable you the learner, to manage your learning journey in one-easy to use platform. All learner resources and Zoom sessions are made available with just one link. GiraffePad will send an registration invite to your email account. Please note some classes will require attendance at our centre in Derrane, Co. Roscommon.
