Services for the Older Person

County Roscommon Disability Support Group offer a confidential Home Support Service to enable the Service User to live an active and independent life. Duties our home support team perform include assisting the Service User with some or all of the following;

• Personal Care: Bathing Assistance, getting up and going to bed, including dressing and undressing, assisting with activities of daily living

• Domestic Care: Assisting with general household duties such as food preparation, with laundry duties, with shopping etc.

• Social & Non Domestic Work: Personal Shopping, driving (if applicable) and general care of vehicle, wheelchair and other equipment.

•Assisting Service Users to attend social events, hobbies etc.

In general doing whatever it the Service User needs in order to take control of and responsibility for their own lives and to participate in the wider community. This will be entirely specific to the needs of the individual Service User and can be tailored.
