Course Aim
 
This course is designed is to equip the learner with the skills and knowledge to promote and maintain safety and health in the working environment and most particularly in the care environment for our learners

• Roles and responsibilities

• Accident prevention in the Workplace

Entry Level 

• QQI Level 4 Certificate or equivalent qualification and /or relevant life and work experience
• Competent in spoken and written English

Progression Route
 
Learners who complete this module can progress towards the full QQI Level 5 Major Award in Healthcare Support 5M4339

Assessment

• Assignment on the duties of a Care Worker in maintaining a Safe Working Environment (60%)
• Theory based examination (40%)
