County Roscommon Disability Support Group offers a confidential Home Support Service to enable the Service User to live an active and independent life. Duties our home support team perform are dictated by the HSE Home Support Section in consultation with you, your Public Health Nurse and/or Discharge Coordinator in the hospital and can include assisting the Service User with some or all of the following:

• Personal Care: Bathing Assistance, getting up and going to bed, including dressing, and undressing, monitoring your wellbeing, assisting with activities of daily living as well as medication prompting if required.
• Domestic Care: Assisting with general household duties such assisting in maintaining your home (light domestic duties) as food preparation, with laundry duties, with shopping etc.

Home Care Support Worker Service (HCSW)

Home Care Support Workers (HCSWs) provide care to older persons. They assist the Service User to live more independently in their own home.

Our trained and professional support workers are aware that you are an individual with your own unique personal needs, preferences, and values.

County Roscommon Disability Support Group CLG provides experienced Homecare Support Workers (HCSWs) to assist:

• Older Persons
• Persons with Dementia
• Palliative Care
• Chronic Illness

We have built our Support Group with a social conscience to deliver the most professional and personal services in your community.

We treat our Service Users with dignity and respect, ensuring your privacy and allowing you as much autonomy, independence, and involvement in your care as you wish subject to the health, safety, and welfare of our staff.  

Everyone is unique so that is reflected in your care plan. RSG supports the principle of autonomy and empowerment and recognises the right of all persons to make choices which, supports them to live as independently as possible. 

All our Community Staff are:

• Garda Vetted & have International Police Clearance
• QQI Level 5 Healthcare qualified or progressing.
• Required to complete Induction Training
• Attend Ongoing Training including rigorous Infection Prevention and Control training.
• Required to sign a Confidentiality Agreement
• Subject to regular spot checks on service provided.   
• Supported 24/7 by our dedicated Care Team under the supervision of a Registered General Nurse.
